Filler-rama!
Posted by Patrick K on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 10:10 pm

I'm not as excited about it as the peppy title suggests.

I'm just putting a quick post here to let it be known. I have schoolwork up to my eyeballs until next Wednesday. So, you're going to get a bit more filler.

Don't take it personally... I doubt you would anyway... but still, I've got some serious stress right now, and although drawing is therapeutic, I don't have time to feel good. I have to do good. Right now doing>feeling... yeah.

so... You'll get stuff, just not comic, per se... but updates.

So, do good... because I'm watching.

What's up party peoples?

To answer you first question: No, I am not dead.

Despite taking a whole month to party harder than I've ever partied before, I have been working on the comic this whole time. At first, I decided to see if the pages would look good colored. Unfortunately, until I learn to be more efficient at coloring, they will remain black and white/ grayscale unless it's a special occation. I decided that the art wasn't worth sacrificing updates for. Afterall, most people would agree that the story is what's most important.

So, I will be posting pages regardless of whether or not I like how they look. That way, the story can go on, and hopefully I will learn to produce something good-looking along the way.

To make up for all the missed updates, I will not only make up all the days lost, but I will also devote some time to updating every weekday until I earn a little update respect back. No foolin'

So, when will these pages be up, you ask?

I'm going to scrape, and struggle, and sweat, and bleed to get as many pages done by Sunday. Whether or not I accomplish making up the lost pages by then, I'll still post whatever I have and continue to update regularly if it kills me. I'm tired of worrying about art. I just want to tell my story and hopefully you guys can support me along the way.

Wheh... glad I got that off my chest.

Also, I'm learning all kinds of crazy goodness in my flash class. I never knew how freakin' different CS3 was from every other version. I've had years of experience using Flash MX and the idea of trying to figure CS3 out by myself is totally overwhelming. But, now that I have a good idea how the program operates, you guys just might notice the toons section being a little less... empty =D

On an unrelated note, I'm thinking about starting to put some light ads on the site to support a hosting client for SCYNHO. I'm sure Caboose would love to be able to turn off his computer every once and a while. It would also make things on the site run much faster and smoother, especially if we start hosting video and flash files.

If anyone has an questions, comments, concerns, etc., hit me up on the forums (I'm going to be a lot more active on them from now on) or email me at padarob@msn.com (soon to change to something more SCYNHO-related ;D)

Thanks for being patient!

If you're reading this, you probably noticed that today's comic isn't up yet.

Well, don't wet yourselves just yet. I'm almost done, it's just going to be a few hours late.
It will be up today, after I finish school, and get home, and finish the comic.

then it will be up.

I'm about 80% done with it. I just have to put about 5-10 minutes of color into it.

Just thought I'd say something before anybody noticed and... uh, brought it up.
